From the packed technical sessions at the Broadcast Engineering and IT Conference (BEIT) to a hands-on demo right on the NAB Show floor, BPS™ was the buzzword in Las Vegas. If you didn’t hear about it then, now’s your chance to catch up.

Watch highlights and hear directly from industry and government leaders on why BPS™ matters — and what it means for our nation’s future:

Saturday and Sunday at BEIT delivered a deep dive into the latest in BPS™ technology. Harvey Arnold (Sinclair), Charles Schue (UrsaNav), and Tariq Mondal (NAB) presented the results of a successful live demo combining BPS™ with eLoran, broadcast from Black Mountain near Las Vegas. The system hit an impressive time accuracy within ±100 nanoseconds — a critical threshold for supporting resilient infrastructure.

The momentum continued with a gripping — and at times sobering — panel moderated by Dr. Pat Diamond. Featuring General William Shelton (USAF, Ret.) and Dr. Scott Sotebeer, the discussion explored real-world implications for national security and survivability.

Sunday’s sessions brought even more compelling insights. Dr. Jeffrey Sherman of NIST unveiled blockbuster results from a long-term BPS™ performance study. The takeaway? BPS held its own against GPS, demonstrating sustained accuracy within ±20 nanoseconds.

Meanwhile, at the PILOT booth on the NAB Show floor, the live BPS™/eLoran demo drew strong interest from both industry insiders and public sector leaders, including representatives from federal agencies and members of Congress.
