What is it?

During this free, 2-day event, participants will:

  • Gain hands-on experience with the ATSC 3.0 standard and the PILOT Home Gateway for developing Next-Gen TV applications in an interactive environment.
  • Get ahead of the curve before Next-Gen TV app development becomes a part of your digital team’s work.
  • Discover new opportunities afforded by the hybrid technology that combines over-the-air and broadband connectivity in an interactive environment.
  • Be inspired to uncover new interactive ideas and services for Next-Gen TV.
  • Meet others working to develop new applications for broadcasters.
  • Tour the Akamai broadcast and network operations center.

Who should attend?

Broadcasters and PILOT members should send teams of 2 to 5 employees from their digital groups. Experience in the following areas should be represented on each team.

  • Experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
  • Application development in a web and/or mobile environment.
  • Content production and planning for an interactive and/or broadcast environment.
  • Knowledge of the broadcast and digital businesses of the broadcast organization.
