National Association of Broadcasters
PILOT is a coalition of stakeholders dedicated to advancing broadcast technologies. This coalition begins with all members of the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB). Broadcasters work with other PILOT members to drive the research, creation, testing and implementation of new technologies and solutions.
PILOT has also established a new class of membership in NAB for other stakeholders sharing broadcaster’s passion and dedication to innovation. These PILOT members collaborate with broadcasters across the value chain to drive new opportunities in the industry.
Accenture is a consulting and technology leader in the broadcasting, media and entertainment space. As a PILOT charter member, we hope our involvement will facilitate dialogue with industry leaders, influencers and clients – resulting in strategic points-of-view on where the broadcast industry is moving and to catalyze the development of next-generation solutions. We see PILOT as an incubator focused on convergence within the entire broadcasting ecosystem. Accenture believes this program will provide us with a platform to demonstrate our industry leadership and broaden our relationships.
Mike Chapman, Managing Director – Accenture Strategy
Mike Chapman is a managing director with Accenture Strategy, aligned to the Communications, Media and Technology industry group in North America. Mike has over 16 years of experience as a strategy consultant and serves as the global lead of media and entertainment and video strategy consulting for Accenture.
Mike is based out of Accenture’s Washington, D.C., office and spends his time working with clients on both U.S. coasts as well as internationally. Mike focuses on corporate and growth strategy, product development and operational strategy at the intersection of business and technology. His client experiences include global media and entertainment conglomerates, television programmers and broadcasters, cable TV providers / MSOs, film studios and exhibitors, digital services / OTT start-ups, consumer electronics and hi-tech OEMs, telecommunications and wireless providers, U.S. consumer electronics retailers, and national sports leagues. Mike holds an MBA majoring in finance and strategy and a MS of Management and Information Systems from the Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University.

Will Law, Chief Architect, Media Engineering – Akamai
Will Law is chief architect within the Media Engineering group at Akamai and a leading media delivery technologist. Involved with streaming media on the Internet for the last 15 years, he has a strong focus on client-side development and wrote many of the early connection frameworks that still drive much of the traffic flowing over Akamai today. Currently focusing on MPEG DASH and HTTP streaming, technology evaluation, 4K distribution, WebRTC, mobile media, cloud transcoding, connected devices and multi-bitrate switching. Law is vice-chairman of the DASH Industry Forum, vice-chairman of the GIVE Project, holds a master’s degree in aerospace engineering and an MBA, and has worked previously for Adobe, Internap and a series of five engineering and media-related startups.
Frankly provides a technology platform, advertising capabilities, and data insights for media companies, enterprises, and brands to engage their audiences and generate revenue across their digital properties.

Steve Chung, Chief Executive Officer/Founder – Frankly
Steve Chung is the founder and chief executive officer of Frankly Inc. (publicly traded on the Toronto Venture Exchange, ticker TLK). After holding an analyst role at Goldman Sachs in New York, he has held senior leadership roles in the technology and media sector, including chief strategy officer of CDNetworks (sold to KDDI), executive vice president of KIT Digital, Inc., investment director of BlueRun Ventures and chief operating officer of We Heart It. His experience with both start-up and large enterprises has led to his expertise in helping companies grow globally. Steve holds an AB from Harvard University and an MBA from Stanford University.

Peter Guglielmino, CTO, IBM Media and Entertainment
Peter Guglielmino is an IBM Distinguished Engineer and has worldwide responsibility as CTO for IBM’s Media & Entertainment Industry. In this capacity, he is responsible for developing the architectures that will serve as the basis for the IBM media offerings relating to media enabled Services Oriented Architecture (SOA) infrastructures, digital media archives, rich media utilities, media on demand, and secure content distribution networks. Currently Peter is working with IBM Research and the Framework for Interoperable Media Services (FIMS), a joint working group of Advanced Media Workflow Association and the European Broadcasting Union to promote open standards-based software interfaces for media services. Peter is also leading the work on IBM’s video processing and streaming cloud offerings.

Elizabeth Osder, Head of Revenue, LAKANA
As the head of Revenue, Elizabeth Osder is responsible for market and business development, platform strategy and potential growth through acquisitions at LAKANA. As an executive and consultant she has 20 years building businesses for publishers, brands, agencies, technology companies and start-ups. Elizabeth’s diverse experience includes consulting for Google, Ogilvy Mather, AOL, Kimpton and Associated Press; successful exists to start up technologies to Marketo and OpenX to launching of The New York Times on the Web; helping make Yahoo News the number one online news destination; deploying the publishing system for The Financial Times; tackling emerging trends in social media that deliver real user engagement, plus forging the application of semantic technologies to both relational content display and monetization.
Elizabeth holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Mount Holyoke College and she has also earned a Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Missouri. In 2001 Elizabeth was awarded a John S. Knight Fellowship at Stanford University where she studied technologies and communications. She resides in Los Angeles and counts being the first girl to play little league baseball as her most cherished accomplishment.

Scott L. Brown, Senior Vice President – Nielsen
Scott L. Brown serves as senior vice president, Engineering and Strategic Relations for Nielsen . In this role, Scott is a frequent speaker and sought after for insight about impending changes to the media landscape, the impact of new technology, and the path of new advertising models.
Scott works with media strategy and digital platform providers and focuses much of his time on development and establishment of key and formative business relationships with advanced technology and new media companies. Scott’s background is grounded in technology and broad media expertise, the implications for Nielsen measurement, coupled with a deep client following on what is relevant in the media world. Scott holds a Bachelor of Science and a master’s degree and resides in Tampa, Florida.
Faith Murphy, Senior Director, SMB Partner Development & Gemini Sales & Support – Yahoo!
Faith Murphy leads the SMB Partner Development and Gemini Sales and Support teams at Yahoo. She currently is leading a team of industry experts who work closely with partners who sell Yahoo Gemini and advertiser products to small-medium businesses across the Americas. She also is the operational sales leader for the Gemini Self Serve platform, providing sales and support for the Small-Medium business advertisers focusing on Search and Native advertising. Faith has over 15 years’ experience in digital advertising, with a background in operations, optimization strategies and analytics.
