The NAB ATSC 3.0 Transition Task Force, a sub-group of the NAB TV Technology Committee, began work in October 2018 in developing principles to help guide stations in a market how to work together to transition to next generation television using the ATSC 3.0 standard. NAB contracted with Osborn Engineering to help with the project. The result, made available in April 2019, is the NAB Next Generation Television (ATSC 3.0) Station Transition Guide. The document is targeted for distribution to broadcast management executives to address transition issues and offer model practices for a successful transition.
